The first MTD transmissions were made from Forbes software in the summer of 2017.
We have a number of solutions ranging from bridging software that will allow you to transmit data prepared in other packages such as excel, sage or VT transaction.
We have solutions for both MTD for income tax and MTD for VAT
All the software is both in the form of traditional desktop or as web based cloud versions. It may be licenced as multi company agent versions and single company versions for your clients.
The agent packages are integrated with our final accounts, tax, payroll and cis products.
MTD for Income tax
Our MTD for income tax solutions cover all stages from periodic quarterly transmissions to end of year adjustments and then on to entering other income such as dividends and capital gains through to the finalsisation process. You can also take a hybrid approach using different software for periodic transmissions.
Digital Record Keeping
Under MTD it is necessary to keep your records digitally. This could be in an a bookkeping package or in a spreadsheet like Excel
You must keep all the transactions electronically but it is just the totals that are imported and transmitted.
Below are some example spreadsheets. These, and more, can also be accessed via the help tab in the software. The layout of the spreadsheets are entirely up to you. We just require the appropriate totals are labelled so that our software can find them.
