It integrates closely with other Forbes products such as Time Recording, Payroll, Company Secretarial and Tax. The system is based on a model/view architecture. The underlying data (codelist, schedules of transacations) referred to as the "model" is kept separate from the the final output, known as the "view". The underlying data is entered through powerful and easy to use data schedules. Alternatively there is full two way interaction with excel. It is then formatted using one of a number of templates to produce the final accounts. Key Features: Production of final accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies XBRL enabled from the outset (see below for more detail) A range of data entry options using data schedules and excel Fully drillable working papers, giving access directly to schedules Format based system - global changes made easily using simple formatter Adjustment journals automatically cascaded through the financial statements Pages and notes automatically inserted Import from bookkeeping packages and excel Unlimited clients Easy to use - produces statutory accounts in minutes Please click here for further information on Forbes Accounts (sample printouts and demonstration). XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is an XML-based format for financial reporting that provides a computer-readable way to tag financial data. It offers a digital means of both producing and interpreting financial statements, thereby enabling greater exchanges of financial information across all software and technologies including the internet. Companies House and the HMRC are keen to encourage the uptake of XBRL. Companies House is introducing the trial e-filing of accounts in October. The HMRC are concurrently introducing the XBRL filing of Corporation Tax computations. We have been actively involved in developing the format for the XBRL and are likely to be the first software house to have XBRL enabled companies house and corporation tax filing. Lord Carter is at present reviewing the HMRC online services. Five years ago, he produced a highly influential report on payroll administration that brought about the cash incentives to encourage smaller employers to file their PAYE returns online backed with penalties for larger firms if they did not comply. A new policy incentive for XBRL could well be introduced for inclusion in an autumn mini-Budget. Company Register is a secretarial package to manage your company statutory records. It includes the latest versions of the most commonly used companies house forms. Common data, such as company name etc, will transfer between the various forms to speed up data entry. Printing uses plain paper in a laser or inkjet printer. New Features: Integration with Forbes Accounts Company House Electronic Filing (see below) Forbes Company Register is now a Companies House approved electronic filing package. You can now file forms 88(2), 123, 190, 225, 287, 288a, 288b, 288c, 353 and 363a electronically from Forbes to Companies House, via the Internet. Moreover, if you file an annual return (form 363a) to companies house online using Forbes Company Register, you will qualify for a reduced filing fee of £15 compare to £30 if you file on paper!
