Is my personal data secure ?
After you have downloaded the software you can disconnect from the internet and complete your tax return at your leisure.
Your personal data never leaves your computer until you transmit it directly to the Revenue.
No one else has access to it.
When you press the send button the data is sent directly from your machine to the HMRC.
This transmission is encrypted using 128-bit SSL which is over a billion, billion times as strong as the 40 bit encryption used by most UK commercial sites !
There has been a recent security scare with the HMRC web based SA online. The security of their back end systems has not been questioned. Our software is an alternative to the HMRC's web based front end. As mentioned in the paragraph above, your data is stored on your computer, not on a website. It is then transmitted directly from your computer to the back end systems.
